Campanile Alencon Hotel, Alencon

The hotel is conveniently located for an overnight stop on a long journey. The rooms are basic and could benefit from an update, but they open onto grassed areas, and there is a convenient restaurant on-site. The service was excellent, welcoming my pet dog warmly, but was marred by one unpleasant encounter with a concierge. The dining options were surprisingly good, exceeding expectations for this type of hotel. The location, though on an industrial estate, is easy to find and perfect for a quick stopover. A mixed experience overall, with some highs and lows to consider.

Upon arrival, the shabby appearance of the rooms was a bit disappointing, but despite that initial impression, the comfort and cleanliness were top-notch. The location, convenient for us with a kettle in the room, was both a positive and a negative due to its proximity to a local airport.
